Church represents something I consider sacred. My deep connection to the spiritual realms and God. It may reveal my feelings of guilt about something. Maybe I did something in the past I’m ashamed about.
Church symbolizes my own system of values and my faith in a real life. It represents my own beliefs and my need to find a spiritual guide. It may mean I have doubts about my religious beliefs. It symbolizes my value system, and the things I hold sacred as true.
Suitcase
Suitcase symbolizes a journey. It may be about my need for freedom, or that I have to leave behind my mental suitcase before venturing on to the next phase of my life. It is very often about my “mental baggage” I have with me from life experiences.
Heaven
Dreaming of heaven rarely has anything to do with death or the afterlife. It’s a symbol of happiness and joy on earth. It signify my desires to uncover happiness. I want to escape from the difficulties I’m experiencing. Heaven restores my hopes, optimism, and faith. Heaven symbolizes new beginnings and renewals. Dreams about heaven may represent some sort of guilt I’m feeling. The door of heaven suggest I may get closer to my dreams.
A fallen church spire suggests the collapse of hopes. A steeple breaking or falling, means I may worry about being forgettable. Or making a poor impression on others.
Hand-to-face and hand-to-mouth are also sometimes attributed to lying body language although this is only sometimes the case. Hand-to-mouth actions are the most common target for auto touching. Other times hand-to-mouth indicates female sexual tension such as when the index finger softly rubs against the lips.
A liar covers their mouth with their hand, as if he or she is trying to prevent the deceitful words from being said. It could be just a few fingers covering the lips, or the whole palm — the meaning doesn’t change.
Rubbing lips is a behavior people use to calm themselves down. Face-touch is the pacifier gesture.
Nervousness: touching sensitive spots, like lips or the chin, has a soothing effect. By stimulating the nerves in a controlled manner, rather than uncontrollable stress that is exercised on the person.
Burn Book
The burning of books represents censorship. In some cases, the destroyed works are irreplaceable and their burning constitutes a severe loss to cultural heritage.
Book burning can be an act of contempt. Emblematic of a harsh and oppressive regime seeking to silence prevailing culture. Being consumed.
In his 1821 play, Almansor, the German writer Heinrich Heine – referring to the burning of the Muslim holy book, the Qur’an, during the Spanish Inquisition – wrote, “Where they burn books, so too will they in the end burn human beings.” – Heinrich Heine
Bed
The bed represents my intimate self and discovery of my sexuality. If the bed is unmade, then it indicates that certain secrets will soon be exposed or revealed.
Water
Water symbolizes my subconscious and my emotional state of mind. It is also symbolic of spirituality, knowledge, healing and refreshment.
Feelings from my subconscious are surfacing and ready to be acknowledged.
Calm, clear water means that I am in tune with my spirituality. It denotes serenity, peace of mind, and rejuvenation.
Fire and water together symbolize a polarizing issue in my waking life. I am going through an emotional conflict and it is pulling me in two directions.
Splash
Being splashed by water means that I need to be more expressive with my feelings. It also indicates my need to be revitalized. Splashing someone implies that I want to share my excitement with those around me. A splash can represent feelings of a situation being unpredictable or dangerously volatile.
Guinea Pig
Represents my need to be more responsible and attentive. Through experimentation and taking risks, I learn how – and how not – to do something. I learn from my mistakes.
Sugar
To eat sugar represents the pleasures and enjoyment I deny myself in my life. Sometimes, I need to indulge myself and not worry about the consequences.
A sugar cube suggests I need to lighten up and quit being so serious.
Fast Food
To eat fast food indicates I am not taking the time to cater to my emotions. I am not taking good care of my physical or mental health.
Food
Represents physical and emotional nourishment and energies. Eating certain foods also refer to qualities that I need to incorporate within myself.
Celery
Celery represents my need to be cleansed, either physically or emotionally.
Hamster
Represents my underdeveloped emotions. I am distancing myself from others so that I won’t end up getting hurt. I am able to separate sex and love.

Hearing thunder means I need to pay attention and learn some important life lesson.
Rain
Me seeing and hearing rain falling symbolizes forgiveness and grace. Falling rain is also a metaphor for my tears, crying and sadness. Alternatively, rain also symbolizes renewal. Me hear rain tapping on the roof denotes spiritual ideas coming to fruition in my mind.
Commentary
There’s a dystopian feel to this video. Much like the 80s movie Blade Runner. The dystonic music of two different covers seemed to fit better than the original melodic Fleetwood Mac song, Dreams, and other covers mimicking its sweetness.
Dreams is a song about conflicted feelings. The soundtrack needed to sound off a bit to be right. A discord is the lack of harmony between notes sounding together. Dystonia actually refers to a “muscle cramp.” A cramp is a painful involuntary muscle contraction from fatigue or strain.
So the video soundtrack reflects my emotional cramping – an involuntary spasm. When I feel fatigued and strained, I’m susceptible to feeling emotional pain more acutely than at other times. I’ve been straining to resolve an internal puzzle.
The puzzle is resolving opposites. The apparent conflict of loneliness/solitude and needing connection to people. I’ve never felt like I belonged. I’ve often tried to conform to social or group norms to fit in. It never works. I’m an unconventional nonconformist. I abhor herd mentality. The herd being majority or group conformity. The result is me only feeling more discontent and disconnection. Cramping.
A phrase repeated in another of my video poems in titles is “my true creative power resides in my strangeness.” This originates in the video poem Black. That’s about the black unicorn a symbol of my empowerment. How do I get power from being strange? Acceptance? I rarely (never?) feeling accepted for who I am. My inner Asian female? Who am I really?
An Asian female to me is delicate, refined, and sensitive. Nothing like the gritty bull-riding cowboy of the poem Grit.
The people in the large city remind me of the frenetic ants used in my poem Connection. That is also about the polarity of coexistent needs. The need I have for solitude (polar bear) and it’s contrast to my need for emotional connection (ants). Being and feeling understood doesn’t happen in solitude.
A key phrase emphasized in the poem is “it only thunders when it’s raining.”
Storms can feel like the absolute worst. But thunder is expected during rain storms. It’s normal torment and the storm passes. But perhaps something new is retained or learned from the fear and experience. That interpretation doesn’t feel quit right. But close.
Thunder is new ideas and noticing them. Self awareness. But those lessons sometimes are only learned or manifest during my angst, affliction, and emotional pain. Sort of an emotional “Ah-ha” moment. Adversity is a powerful and memorable teacher. My adversity lately is my awareness of deep loneliness as reflected in recent poems. But it’s paradoxical. I need alone time – solitude – to charge and create. But I long for emotional connection with someone.

Moon
Hidden, mysterious aspect of oneself associated with the feminine mystique, instinct, and intuition. A full moon signifies completion and wholeness. Moonlight symbolizes an emotional breakthrough. Symbolic reassurance you’re on the right track in your dark times.
Sun
Peace of mind, enlightenment, tranquility, fortune, goodwill, and insight. Radiant energy and divine power.
Solar Flare
A significant disruption in your life. Abnormalities and peculiarities to the sun’s appearance represent pain or chaos.

Yin-Yang
Yin-Yang is about balance and equilibrium. Yin yang are a balance of opposites. They represent the duality within us – right and wrong, emotional and logical, left and right sides of the brain. The yin, the dark swirl, is associated with shadows, femininity, and the trough of a wave; the yang, the light swirl, represents brightness, passion and growth. This symbol represents the perfect balance of the positive and negative energies.
Yin and Yang are complementary (rather than opposing) forces interacting to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the assembled parts (synergy). The yin yang is balance between two opposites with a portion of the opposite element in each section.
Black Unicorn
Symbol of power, strength, and freedom. A black unicorn is never bound to any particular place and does as its heart desires freely roaming the world. A messenger of esoteric knowledge. He is a keeper of secrets and mysteries.
Guitar
Represents passion and emotion. It also relates to sexual connotations and may signal the erotic or sensual.
I suffer “limerence” in all sorts of relationships. It reminds me of a halo effect. Thought I’d pass on the concept. It might keep you out of trouble. It hasn’t worked for me — but it might for you. Good luck with that.
Once again, it’s a definite INFJ characteristic/weakness. Naturally.
And one article and the wiki said, “Limerence can cause stuttering.” Interesting.
“Those suffering from loneliness are significantly more susceptible to limerence.”
